RSS import from Mastodon fails

I am trying to import postings from Mastodon users (example here is Massively OP) to my Xenforo forum (2.1.12). It always comes back with the same error (see screenshots below; in german, "Bitte gib einen gültigen Titel ein" meaning "Please give a valid title" or similar).
My forum imports other RSS feeds, like websites or mailchimp, just fine and as expected.
Also other RSS readers, like Vivaldi browser for example (last screenshot), can proceed it just fine, even if the title is coming back as "empty".

This seems to be an "old" issue, as it was already (somehow) discussed here, but obviously not solved as stated (?).

Please check this issue again and update as expected, thank you.

Since I haven't read anywhere that Mastodon RSS feeds can be imported successfully, I didn't want to invest $60 right away. My forum is very specific and has been around for almost 30 years (it was eventually migrated to XF from several other products).

However, if you say that the problem has been solved and Mastodon posts are imported correctly with the current version, I will of course upgrade/renew the subscription. Thank you very much for your help.

From your initial post I got the impression that you expected a bugfix to be created for a six year old version of XF that has been out of support and outdated for many years and at the same time expected that a bugfix within 2.3.8 would magically be integrated in 2.1.12. ;) Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I did not b/c I can't b/c I am not using this feature. But the bug is marked as fixed an so I assume it is (within what was reported in the initial bug report).
 
@Fenokoda I'm using Mastodon as well, if you want, send me the link to the feed you're trying and I can check with my XF 2.3.10 install what results I get.
