XF 2.1 RSS Feed Importer (editing)

Something's missing here! The added feeds should have a label so as to know which one is which to delete!

It would also be good to line edit the importer for minor changes. Rather than simply deleting it (which one) and enter its parameters all over again. HELP needed.

Not sure what went wrong with your feeds, but each feed has a title (normally) and you can click on each to edit them.

I did finally notice that if I click the blank title edit line, it does take me to an editor. It's fun to fly in blind, right, NOT!

Obviously I was supposed to enter a title where it says Title Template: (Optional, reading between the lines.)

@Oldengine I'm more curious how you ended up adding an RSS feed without going through that edit UI. Did it come over automatically when you did your vB import?

Yes, thank you. Sometimes all it takes is a little push in the right direction as long as a beginner doesn't hit the brick wall.

I had RSS feeds on vB3, but they were crap dependent upon the browsers and the users. I had to delete my link type forums and replace them with normal nodes. Then the feed importer did the rest. There must be a list of variables for this so as to use BB code to list a price, photo, etc.

I've been a month at all this since the first import and it's been very rewarding with the extra capabilities of XenForo. vB3.8.11 is doing well, but there is no comparison to XF, however, the learning curve is extreme.

I'm still struggling with feed variables.

I'm using {title} and {link} but there must be more? photo, seller name, etc. Where do I find these?

The only variables available are: {title} {content} {author} {link}

{content} always shows "No code has to be inserted here. " (Confusing)
{author} shows nothing
{title} and {link} are effective
