XF 2.2 route filters help

Is there a way to make route
like
example.com/threads/[0-9]/

to
example.com/[0-9]/?

Core routes can not be removed, only changed.

example.com/threads/[0-9]/

to
example.com/t[0-9]/?

You can disable the "include content title in URLs" option and set a route filter to replace threads with t.

threads/{id}-{page_id}
