XF 1.5 Restrict private conversations from one group to another

Is it possible to make so that one group can not send private messages to members of another group?

There is a permission you can set so they are unable to start a new personal conversation with someone and you can use user group promotion to promote them to the user group with privileges to start PMs. I do this so when a user group has a certain amount of posts in the forum, after a cron job they get promoted to the user group with the privilege.

Thank you. But I need strong restriction for members of one group. They mustn't write PMs to the members of another group.

That's not possible with xenForo out of the box, unfortunately.

In that same thread mentioned a more active third-party developer's add-on - https://xenforo.com/community/resources/conversation-improvements-by-xon.4518/

It adds more functionality than what you need but it can still work as an alternative to the add-on I mentioned in my previous post.
