Add-on Resources - Safety/Assurance

Hi all,

I've been quoted $25 for a particular add-on and the reviews (7 in total) are happy with it.

I'd like to know, however, if these listings have been vetted by Xenforo dev's themselves, and if there is any quality/security checks made on such software prior to it being advertised in the resources section.

No real checks, because it isnt official Xenforo software. They do have some checks to try to prevent people from buying unsupported software: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/resource-housekeeping.112680/ but when you buy a 3rd party developed software addon, you have no garantees

Resource authors agree to these standards before adding their resources here:

The guidelines within are the minimum expected standards to be adhered to when releasing products in the Resource Manager here.

They are enforced on a case-by-case basis at the moment if issues become apparent.

OK thanks. Just concerned about dodgy code/potential risk. I've been stung with leaks due to 3rd party add ins before (not Xenforo) so a little cautious.
