Require Likes to view

Hello all!
I have tried searching for the right addon and browsing Google and forums but can't seem to find what I need. I know if the Like or Reply to view attachments addon but that is not what I need. I am a member of a few forums where the poster would use bbcode to hide a link or text within a post only viewable if user has enough likes. The bbcode setup is [likes=5]If you have 5 likes you can view this[/likes]. The incentive is to get users to share and participate on the forums to get likes in order to view certain content. I can't seem to find an addon to do what I need..but there are a few forums I am a member of that have this exact setup. Can you please help guide me in the right direction here? Thank you!

Are two I know about (there may be more). I've personally use the first and it seems to work well.

I think if I've read your query correctly you want the content to only be visible to other members who themselves have enough "likes" on their own posts. So the way I'd do that is with a group promotion so that members with 5+ likes are put into a new group. Then restrict access to viewing the content with one of the above add-ons to just members of that group.

Thank you so much for the recommendations! So on the other few Xenforo forums I follow it is completely up to the OP to set the amount of likes they want within the bbcode itself. [Likes=10]You need 10 likes to view this[/likes] for example. It helps promote sharing and contribution within the forum/community. I definitely see your thoughts process with the separate group promotion but since the OP can set the amount of likes they want to view their content I don't know how I would be able to do it that way. If you want to private message me I'll share one of the forums with you so you can see what I mean in action. I sincerely appreciate your help!

Actually looking again at the https://xenforo.com/community/resources/mmo-hide-bb-code-content-system.7752/ add-on (the one I use, but we don't use all the features). The "likes" option does actually sound, err, like, it might work for you:

"Number of likes" - Number of like on the forum, which the user needs to be able to view.

It's not one I have enabled so wasn't really in my mind when answering first time round and indeed it will be exactly what you've seen elsewhere if those forums are XenForo. The "help" example puts it concisely!

[LIKES=5]Hello World![/LIKES] - Displayed only registered users whose number of reactions on the forum is greater than or equal to 5.

So apologies for going off on random hacky solutions when the actual solution was there all along!

Hey..so the likes thing works like it should but it shows this if you don't have enough likes instead of the you need 5 likes message. Do you know how to fix this?
