RM 1.0 Remove "Rating" - does it need an addon or other custom modification?

    If one wants to get rid of rating, I suppose it needs an addon/modification? Couldn't find an option for this in the RM options nor in the permissions.

    There is a permission for "Rate Resources". Set that to "No"

    This is something that I'd also like to do. Disabling permission to rate resources, it stops voting but still displays the stars. Is it possible to remove them completely with a setting (as opposed to lots of template edits)?

    You can probably hide it all using EXTRA.css, for example:

    .rating .star {display:none;}

    There are more than likely other associated classes which will need hiding.

    Disabling ratings completely would be welcome.

    Is this something that was updated/enabled already with the new updates? I will also welcome "Disabling ratings completely?.

    There are some hints in this thread that will make it possible to do manually.

    You'd be looking to prevent rating via permissions and editing various templates or CSS to remove or hide the rating stars.

    Can you walk me through? I'm not a programer. Thank you.
    I changed permission on groups to Never for rating and added the extra.css display none but it shows anyways.

    Hi, Can anyone tell me step by step how to remove the rating from the layouts? thank you
    The EXTRA.css, .rating .star {display:none;} didn't work for me.
