What type of permissions should those files have? currently they have 644

700 for both.....i'm guessing 744 is what it should be? (I really thought I changed that on one of my previous install attempts.)

Are the file sizes correct? I have very crappy internet here.

I bought this yesterday and so far I'm liking it. (y) I'll post a rating & review once I've been using it for a little while.

A couple of things I'd like to raise, I hope this is OK.

Permissions
I'm slightly confused about the "Show alert every X hours" setting. Every X hours makes sense but Unlimited to me seemed to suggest that, in conjunction with the "Can dismiss the adblock alert" permission, that the alert would be dismissed for an unlimited time. It doesn't seem to work like this though, it seems that 0 will prevent the alert being displayed at all (as I discovered when setting for guests) and unlimited shows it all of the time. However, for user groups that I haven't set permissions on, where the default is Not Set (No) the "Can dismiss the adblock alert" is set to 0 by default. Shouldn't it be set to unlimited? Anyway, I've worked this out now but I think the description of this permission and the options could probably be made a little clearer in future versions.

Notices
The notice options are great and I like the idea of random. However, this can't be used when there is no dismiss permission set as the overlay alert won't let you interact with the site unless it is dismissed. Maybe there could be an option to choose which alerts you want to be used randomly?

I think someone has suggested this before - it would be great if we could display different notices to different groups. I display ads to guests and to one group of members who aren't particularly active. My current adblock alert has a sentence about registering which isn't appropriate to the group who already are members, so it would be great to show them a slightly tweaked notice.

Anyway, these are just some observations and suggestions. I am very happy with my purchase (which I think is a bargain, you probably ought to charge a bit more for it!) and I look forward to seeing how well it works and its continued development. :)

@Martok
Thanks for your feedback.

About the permissions -
The permissions are in the same group, but not necessarily have impact on each other. I'd like to put some notes in there but the system doesn't allow to add descriptions for permissions. I'll need to think how to make it clearer.

Notices -
That's already in my TODO list :)

Thanks again for your feedback!

Suggestion:
IMHO, it would be great, if it is possible to be able to see statistics of people who deactivates their adblocker and continue to site. Also, people who doesn't and leave the site. :)

Put some logs of people that are detected as using adblock and ones without and you will get a definite sale from me.

Tracking of adblock users is planned for v2 of the addon. :)

Another thing that would be great would be for the addon to determine which browser the visitor is using and then give a link on how to stop the adblock for that browser. Is that possible?

When is V2 planned to be released? ;)
May take few months. No specific date at the moment.
There will be also a beta stage to make sure the tracking is working as expected.

I will add the browser to the tracking information, but creating a guide for each browser is not very practical, mainly because there are few adblock extensions, and each one has a different UI.
Detecting the specific adblock extension installed is impossible in most cases.

Got this today from one of my active visitors...
The adblocker warning popups seems to appear momentarily for me from time to time. It appears to happen more often when I click somewhere before the page is totally done loading. And no, I'm not using an adblocker. This is in Firefox on a mac.

Send me a link to your forum please, I'll take a look.
Basically his action aborts the execution of the script, which leads it to think that something blocks the advertisements. There is a code to handle this case, so I'm not sure why that would happen.
Are you running the latest version of the adblock detector?

For a future version: Can you include the detection of Ghostery users? Currently they are not detected even if they decide to block all ad networks.

Also in Beta 1.5.0 the "Show notice every X hours" setting is broken and does not work at all. All users see notices at each reloaded page even if they've dismissed them.
