Reduce the interval between spam reports

If there is a spam run, then it generally suffices to report one of the posts and mention that its a spam bot on a spamming spree. Staff will just hit the spam cleaner.

Should be a flagging system for posts to go to moderation instantly if reported X times (possibly by user group to prevent abuse) to have better overall moderation across all timezones. However, the timeout between posts, as you suggested, would be annoying. The alternative is all that user's posts going to the queue, but that could really mess things up if abused.

I know the posts you're referring to as they're still there, 4 hours later from this suggestion.

You, @Alpha1, and I could've had the posts down by now; though, I'd probably put the threshold at 10 members, and play with that or use different user groups (other than "licensed customer") for the best results on XenForo (and our own forums).

This, of course, would have to be a total revamp of the "report" system, with instead of a user's reason, a drop down of possible reasons, then assigning the number of reports to send it to the queue based on that.

My suggestion to this issue was possibly more "active".

Once a post is reported, actively Alert other members WHO ARE CURRENTLY online to verify if the post is spam or not.

I also suggested that after 10 successful spam reports (you reported it as spam and it was subsequently removed), then only 1 report by you is required before the report is moderated, soft deleted.

from 2010,

Don't see a reason to revive it, as I've done before, and development pace is too slow to take my time to do so. XF is easy to work with, and there are crowd moderation add ons now.

If XenForo doesn't see it as a core problem to have this on their site for hours while advertising robust anti-spam measures, that's on them if they lose a potential customer for not designing the system to be more in line — and I can't believe I'm saying this — with social media, from a suggestion way ahead of its time.

Does this work for anyone ?

Yes we use it. It's caught the odd bit of very vulgar spam "out of staff hours" and provides a bit of insurance I think. To be honest I'd love to see more features in the report system as standard. A system of automated actions would be very welcome, such as the auto moderation, auto assignment, due by dates, alerts to staff for overdue reports and so forth.
