If so, I've not seen that anywhere in the ACP in XF.

Actually my only concern now is that the post views will not be retained. We are running our forum since Nov/2012 so is not that bad but imagine a forum with 6200 post and 0 (zero) views

You would have to edit templates to manually add it somewhere, XenForo doesn't store or track that information.

They will be converted over. I converted my forum in February 2012, and it had been running on phpBB since January 2006.

Using Greek here, no problems whatsoever, no problems in conversion from VB, none, zip, nada.

There are several portal add-ons available. I've compiled a recent list here:

Several of those allow you to promote topics to the front page and use threads for discussion.

A friend will help me importing the hphbb db and currently is busy. I was thinking to get the license, install XF and make the first settings - transaltion on my new board. Can I do that or I have to wait for the migration to be completed first and then play with settings etc..

My phpbb is running since Nov/2012 and have 120 members 457 topics with 6350 post. How long it would take to finish with migration?
