XF 2.1 reactions not showing on upgrade to 2.1 from 2.0

i have an old template thats custom. How do i implement the new reactions?

What do you mean by "an old template thats custom"?

Do you mean a third party style?

If so, that will have to be upgraded to be compatible with the version you are now running.

If you have modified templates yourself, you may need to merge any outdated templates, or revert and edit them again.

paid some one to create a custom theme. I figured you could replaced the call for LIKE with the new call for REACTION in the template coding. Is it not that simple?

Without knowing what the template does, or what code is involved, it's impossible to say.

i utilizes the standard like function included in the 2.0 release. Unmodified. i am not seeing the popup on mouseover.
