XF 2.2 Reaction bar disappears after reacting

Recently upgraded to XF 2.2. Trying to figure out if this is intended behavior, or whether it is a conflict.
After upgrading, when a user reacts (clicks the "thumbs up" for example) the reaction bar with its reactions counts disappears. It reappears when the page is reloaded.

Before the upgrade, the reaction bar would stay visible and would update the count with the new reaction.

When you upgraded XF, did you also upgrade any third party add-ons and styles, and ensure there are no outdated templates?

It sounds like a style issue.

I just realized this may not be related to XF's built-in reactions but instead to @Xon 's Content Ratings.
