Bah... had ACL surgery done - they normally want you to stay "awhile" afterwards. As soon as the feel-good juice wore off I was up on the crutches and walking out the door. Attendant said in 4 years of being there I was only the third one he'd seen do that. My 15 week recovery period was completed in 10.5 weeks (I think the rehab folks hated to see me come in instead of vice versaTypical manwait until later when you want to sleep. My other half had two carpal tunnel ops last year.. he said the same when he first came home.. couple of hours later he was screaming for the strongest painkillers I could find

HA... my other half was planning on driving home after his ops. They refused to let him out of the hospital until someone turned up to collect him.... his friend went to the hospital, promised to drive him home.. they went outside and got in separate cars.Bah... had ACL surgery done - they normally want you to stay "awhile" afterwards. In fact, I even had to go out in the back yard and dig a grave for our favorite puppy girl we had to put down due to cancer.

It is...it is just more likely that the slang term pops out at you when you hear it. The later was used in correlation with a joke involving anatomy some time way after it had starting being used in the first place. Oddly enough Richard means strong or hard ruler and as time went on Richard becomes ricky becomes rick and the story goes on. An early meaning of the word is what actually gives the more modern use for the slang term it's comical value. The germanic Dicke means one who lives by thick patch of undergrowth. Why isn't Rick short for Richard instead of the name ****?
