The bombing happened on April 15th, 2013.

It's May 6, 2013. Way more important news to cover.

And families have to live without their lost ones for the rest of their lives. It somehow, most probably keeps their memories alive for some of them.

Maybe read the articles rather then just *****ing about them? Maybe you'd understand some of the allegations of others maybe being involved then, why this is still a serious matter and still news worthy.

Nah that sucks. I don't wanna read about it every day or see those dudes faces every day. Just looking at them pisses me off.

I'm kind of going to side with DGE here

All this does is encourage the next crazy person who wants to do something stupid for attention.

You may not want to think of it that way, but that's the honest cold hard truth. Granted, crazy people will do crazy things no matter if they're covered on the news or not. But broadcasting this daily for almost a full month sends a message that if you do X to a mass group of people, you're message will be heard. And most of those crazy people care less about how it is received and just about being heard (and noticed). Period.

And in this case I'd say, mission accomplished

Yeah I thought that's what you meant. It is depressing to read this type of stuff day in day out I have to admit. But I think the good factors of constant news on the subject is that it really drums in the fact to people to be more vigilant, to educate of the dangers out there. Obviously the adverse affects of this is living in paranoia and in a paranoid state which is equally as damaging and depressing but it was a major and saddening event I think the news will report on for some time yet.

I haven't followed the news lately on this, are their new suspects they are looking for or have they got everyone that they think was involved?

It is still up in the air if the elder brothers wife knew anything or not. Other than that they've got the two brothers who actually did the bombings, their three idiot friends who helped to destroy/hide evidence after the bombings, and not much else.

Yeah man. Bombing stuff. Pretty much any terrorism kind of crap where you put yourself in the spotlight is the ultimate attention whore desperation move. Kinda like porn, "hey look I'm in an orgy" I feel like they all do this cause they want attention, sometimes their cry for attention comes by some misguided agenda but sometimes I doubt it cause this lil dude that's still alive is not behaving like I think a fanatical terrorist would behave. He's just one f**ked up attention whore and CNN is giving him all the attention he dreamed of. Why does negative news and death rewarded so? Death death death. CNN's fascinated with it. I view other news sites and they can actually manage to cover other stuff on the front page.

Good points DRE. Understanding fully what you initially meant now. Good post.

Random thought....

Who says the barter system is dead? I find it very much well and alive here on XenForo.

I've come across a few people who wanted me to upgrade their Debian install. I can't accept paypal, but they wanted the work done, so we made a fair trade. I do their work, they buy me an add-on.

Ironically, I think people are more agreeable in buying me something than they are to sending me money. Go figure.

Today for example... I told someone they could buy me X (style), but I also jokingly said they could buy me lunch. It was a joke and I really wasn't to serious.

After finishing the work, they said they had chosen lunch. Sure enough.... Delivery guy knocked on my door with food, already paid for.

Just goes to show how surprising things can be sometimes. I wonder how far I can push this? Maybe I can get someone here to order me a pizza. lol :ROFLMAO:

Dare I even mention it? What to hint at ordering next time Adam? Nope, I'm restraining myself from suggesting it. :D
