Don't really see the point in it, personally.
One could argue that there was no point in implementing this feature in the first place then. Quoting a specific part of your message is just a matter of copying and pasting after all. Try to quote the title of this thread by copying and pasting it, which is obviously the most logical thing to do, and see what happens.

This makes it easier to quote certain parts of a post. However, I see no situation in which a thread title would ever need to be quoted.

Sometimes almost everything you need to quote is only present within the title of the thread, other times the title states in a much clearer and more concise way what has been confusingly stated within the post.

Relatively often there are differences, which can be more or less subtle, between what is reported within the title of the thread and what is reported within the post of the thread, and depending on these differences someone might decide to quote one thing or the other.
