Click the +Quote button on the message or highlight a certain area of text to quote, then "Insert quotes..." above the "Post reply" button.

Ex:

Or just selecting (highlighting "yes but").

You're going to need custom BB code to accomplish that. Copy the HTML of a QUOTE and modify it. Then put that formatted HTML in your new BB code.
