Quick Wordpress Question

I'm extremely interested in this software. I have one question though:

Is it possible for me to add this to a current Wordpress site?

Let me explain... I'll have my original website, with a navigation bar. The nav will include, images, videos, blah blah blah, and then it will have Forum. When they click on the Forum from my wordpress site nav bar, they're brought to mydomain.com/forum

Is this possible? If so, how difficult or straightforward is it?

Yes, this is possible (it won't be integrated to wordpress) and is straight forward to set up (upload to /forum directory).
