Questions about license

I have the need to creare a multi-site network in one domain. Every site will have their own forum node, with unique graphic, look and moderators, in the same forum domain/installation.

One example: this is the forum of Universal Music:http://forum.universalmusic.it
There are an unique installation and unique domain, but various area with unique look/staff

example:
Rihanna forum: http://forum.universalmusic.it/forum/f276-rihanna
Justin Bieber forum: http://forum.universalmusic.it/forum/f302-justin-bieber
Tokio Hotel Forum: http://forum.universalmusic.it/forum/f101-tokio-hotel
( p.s. I will not remove the "Home" tab and i will add various links to the forum home to make clear that all the subforums are part of a unique forum..)

My question is: can i do this with 1 license?
(With vbulletin and ipb i see that i can do that...if i can do it with XF i'm surely buy another license, because i prefer this software to the competition)

As long as they are all on the same domain, then yes I think you would be able to do that with 1 license.

As for unique styling per node, I guess it could be done with some creative use of the templates and css...

I don't think it's several unique installations of the software I don't think. What I think they did was create a different style for each forum ie Rihanna, Just Bieber, etc and set it up in the forum options to use that style while hiding them from the style selector so you can't see that.

I could be wrong but I believe that is how they did it. If I am when setting up the node you would check the box that says Override user style choice and select the appropriate style. I saw nothing there that leads me to believe it is several different installations of the software.

Can multiple domains or subdomains be used with a single license?
Yes, as long as the domains or subdomains all resolve to the same installation, all of the content is available at every domain or subdomain, and there is no attempt to make them appear as separate installations.

According to that, in my project there are various links to the home in the logo and in the "forum home" link that clear that are simply subforums for a unique forum.

Ok, in my situation i want to do it with only 1 installation of Xenforo. Unique domain, memberbase etc. Like Kabam. Simply i want to change the style of every node.

Well yea thats fine, your original posting implied it was going to be split into different domains... but just applying custom styling per node isn't an issue.

No, only one domain in one installation. There will be a simple partition with custom style to according to website layout. Thank you for your explanation...i will buy 2° and 3° license soon. :-)

universalmusic.it is a one vBulletin installation with custom style for each sub-forum (it's a setting in the vB Admincp). I don't know if this is available in xenForo but I think it can be done with some custom code.
