I am looking for a forum software for a project before I present it to them can I set forum private meaning you must register in order to start posting.

this may sound dumb but will it be easy for elderly to use as far as managing or posting

XF gives you full control over permissions and they can be applied globally or to individual forums. In other words, you certainly can make a forum totally private until a user has registered.

how about for elderly basically I know up to me how I set the community up but it a project in works
