Question About XenForo

Hello, I was considering on getting XenForo forum software for my server's forum.
I had one question though, is this a one time payment, or is it monthly/annually?

One time purchase, but must pay a renewal annually for software updates.

And you are NOT required to pay the $40 each additional year (which is what @oman means by optional)... only if you want to be able to download the latest version and/or submit tickets for support would you be required to pay the $40 renewal fee. AFAIK, at the current time, you can renew the support fee anytime after it expires as long as your license was in good standing before then.

Never have used them, but have seen them discussed here and on WebHostingTalk. I believe that BlueHost is an EIG owned provider, and most of EIG owned providers are not a preferred choice.
