XF 2.3 Question about SPAM filters

I have found Xenforo spam filters to be pretty good when a user makes a post.

My question is let’s say the user makes a legitimate post it passes spam tests then they hit edit fill the post with spam and save. Do the spam filters work on the edited thread?

Pretty sure it will as it should come up as akismet match i believe.

No, which is why you should have a main group at registration with no edit capabilities, no signatures, no profile links, etc that load up with spam.

and an instant promotion upon approval of their first legit post to an 'approved users' type group which has edit rights.
