    XenForo doesn't, to my knowledge.

    But technically it is possible, why do you ask?

    Compared to what?

    The search index in XF takes up more space than in some other forum applications. That might be it.

    You can prune it with this query:

    Code:
    TRUNCATE TABLE xf_search_index;

    But that means search features won't function.

    There doesn't really need to be a guide for it.

    It's a database table which contains an index of all the forum content.

    Your forum content is indexed so that when someone searches your forum it can quickly return the relevant results. Without that index being there (such as if it's been truncated) your searches will return no results.
