XF 1.5 Query to set custom field checkbox to ticked by usergroup

howdy

on my forum we have a certain usergroup which needs to have a certain custom field ticked, sadly most members of the have never ticked it and there are hundres (too many to edit 1 by 1 for our tiny staff)

would it be possible to run a query which is in basic if usergroup =x
set the custom field checkbox 2 to ticked?

The way the data is stored and cached doesn't allow that to be possible in a straight forward way. It would actually need a custom PHP script to loop through the users and set the value.
