XF 2.3 Public Navigation - Creating new tab and drop down menu

I would like to create a tab "Generation Nav" and I would like to have children under it which would be links to Nodes specific to each generation of Ford Explorer.

I go under Public Navigation I go to "Add Navigation" and choose no parent for the new tab. The tab appears as it should in the navigation bar. Then I try to create a child and again go to "Add Navigation", but this time I choose "Generation Nav" as the parent navigation entry.

When I do this the child shows up as a link under the tab it does not create a drop down menu like it does for "Find Threads" "Watched" etc.

I have looked at the setting for tabs and drop downs which already work, but I cannot duplicate the process.

What am I missing here?

With another tab active (ie the current tab), is there a down pointing down triangle on the right of the new Generation Nav tab, as with the other tabs?

I disabled it because it was not working properly.

Ok that's really weird. I just re-enabled to show you and it's working. No idea why, didn't change anything.

I see the tab but as soon as I click on it I get an ad that takes over the whole page,




I wouldn't say it's working.

Works for me in various browsers both logged in, and logged out. I did get the ad page, but only after I clicked on one of the links within the drop down menu.
