2 days ago Xint Code disclosed a Linux kernel flaw they have named Copy Fail.
This will effect any distribution of Linux that had a kernel built from 2017.
Over the next few days expect patches to be released, and some distros such as Alma have already pushed fixes.
Take the time to run a kernel upgrade if you are running any hosting scenario where a user has the opportunity to upload code (addon exploitation most likely from a bad actor), you provide them terminal access or similar.
