XF 2.0 Problem with messages in Conversation feature being cut off.

Two of my users have reported a problem with the Conversation feature. It seems that messages are being cut off, instead of being shown in their entirety. Any idea what's causing this, and how it can be fixed?

Also, sometimes when I click on the Conversation feature myself, I'm getting a message that there's a security error.

First thing to make sure is that you check if you have installed an addon which modifies in any way conversations.
In most cases it is always a 3rd party thing which is causing the problems.

Okay, my next question is what do you mean by being cutoff? When you quote someone and the quote is very long, the quote doesn't show everything unless you click on it. Maybe your users mixed that up with being cutoff?

No. This is not the case. Some people are saying the messages are truncated so parts of them are missing. And they're not long messages.

I'm also hearing that sometimes when they finish a Conversation post and click Submit, nothing seems to happen. But then if they refresh, they're seeing that tit post was posted.

If those problems happen again, tell them to open the browser console and copy/paste the errors which should be there when nothing happens when you submit a conversation post.

When this kind of stuff happens, it is because of 3 things, a) addon conflicts, b) ads and 3rd party integration conflicts (javascript) or c) the server you are using is the problem (mostly oversold shared hostings or bad configured servers). I wouldn't know how to help you, sorry. More experienced people can give you more insight.
