XF 1.2 Problem editing node-sprite.png. Why doesn't it retain opacity when loading into Photoshop?

Probably a simple question, but when I load node-sprite.png into photoshop (CS5.5), the drop shadow is solid rather than opaque.
What am I doing wrong?

Download the attached sprites in that first post, I assume your trying to edit the 8 bit version which has the results your describing. 24 bit is what you need
