XF 2.2 Prevent user registering a default anonymous name

We allow anonymous posting in some forums. We want the default posting name to be "anonymous." However, we also want to make sure no one can register the name anonymous. Is there a way to do this in XF 2.2 without an addon. We had to have an addon created for XF 1.x.

If I do this, can it still be used as the default anonymous user name though? In the past, this would prevent a name from being written in.

XF doesn't have anonymous posting built in, so I presume you are using an add-on.

You would have to direct your question to the author of it.

I assume by anonymous, they mean guest posting, presumably using "Anonymous" as the username.

In which case, the username blocking wouldn't work because this applies to the username a guest would write in. Applying a username limit to registrations only would require an add-on.
