Prefix Essentials featuring auto expiring prefixes and prefix filtering

Prefix Essentials featuring auto expiring prefixes and prefix filtering [Paid] 2.3.6.1

No permission to buy (£25.00)
I've just bought this and working perfectly as advertised.

A request:

Allow choice of more than one target prefix as action on expiration.

Case use:

In a marketplace we charge a listing fee once the item is sold. Hence we have a choice of sold prefixes for the seller
  • Sold on the forum
  • Sold elsewhere
  • Withdrawn from sale.
I'm sure there are other case uses so would love it if you could add this, thanks.

The expiration prefix change is automatic. No clicking involved. Are you suggesting that when creating the thread, the user selects which prefix they want it to change to?

Yes, currently there is just one target prefix (which as you say automatically moves e.g. to the sold forum). I would like a choice of prefixes that would trigger] the automatic move action

Would it be more intuitive if ignored preferences were under a tab in the Ignoring section, as opposed to being in Preferences?

It seems the prefix groups show whether or not the box is ticked for Display Prefix group.

I would also like to know is it possible to display prefixes ungrouped, e.g. if a forum only has two or three prefixes it would be good to display them without needing the group dropdown.

When editing a node, it would be possible to allow the selection of multiple target prefixes. The user would then have to select one when creating the thread. This is not functionality that I need and it's something that only you have asked for. Therefore, I can't justify paying for its development.

Maybe. I haven't thought about it. I'll have a look.

That might be a bug. I'll have a look.

It shows the prefix groups above the node list. It shows the prefixes above the thread list. What you're suggesting is to have an option to show the prefixes above the node list in addition to the groups. You would then have duplication unless the prefixes were not in groups.

That isn't quite what I meant. What I was thinking is that instead of a prefix having just one target prefix (and move action) it would have more than one.

So:

As is:

  • Create a thread with prefix A which has a custom Prefix Action button
  • Button triggers a new defined target prefix B and forum to move to

Suggestion

  • Create a thread with prefix A which
  • This prefix creates a choice of one or more custom Prefix Action buttons
  • Each button triggers a different target prefix B, C and forum to move to.

Alternatively (better)

  • Create a thread with prefix A which
  • This prefix creates a custom Prefix Action buttons
  • The button gives a choice of different target prefix B, C and forum to move to.
This would allow changing to prefix such as sold, withdrawn from sale, under offer.

I understand this is a niche suggestion so if possible let me know if it can be done as paid for custom work.

Got it. You have the choice for thread lists of either groups OR prefixes.

I think a problem is when there are lots of prefixes groups are useful. But when there are only two or three prefixes it would be better to display prefixes.

So a choice of either groups or prefixes would be great if it was an option per forum rather than globally.

e.g.

Too many prefixes so better in groups:

Too few groups so better just to show prefixes:
