XF 1.5 Prefilled search queries

Just upgraded from 1.4 - I have a search query text link that no longer works, which is meant to search a specified group of forums, it was structured like this:

/search/search?user_content=thread&nodes[]=227&nodes[]=216&nodes[]

I'm guessing I need to modify it to work in 1.5?

The link now results in this error:
"Please specify a search query or the name of a member."

Just to clarify, it is a link that is meant to show recent posts in a group of forums - empty search term.
