XF 2.3 Post Reply button does not refresh page

In my forum, clicking the 'Post Reply' button does not refresh the page. Instead I get the attached pop-up. Once you close the pop-up, the page comes to the foreground again, and the post remains in draft view. However, if I manually refresh the page, the post did actually post. This is leading many users to re-post the same thing multiple times.

I'm not seeing any Javascript errors in the developer tab and I've been able to replicate in multiple browsers. I think this started after upgrading to 2.3 but I just became aware of it so I'm not 100% sure on that.

yeah this is a theme issue. i had same issue with customized default theme. i fixed them by creating a fresh parent theme and then making them child themes of the new parent theme.

I created a new Style and then added my style as a child as in the attached image. Is that what you did? My issue remains after doing that.

i mean it worked for me because it was just a child of previous default theme. the only changes were a bunch of colors and some style properties. if you are using a custom third party theme, it's best to check for an updated version for 2.3 from the developer?

basically... if you try posting in the new parent theme, you shouldn't face this issue. so basically this would need to be fixed by the theme developer.
