Did you completely delete or just disable the ratings?

Has the total of >500 negative come out of nowhere, or were there at least that many total ratings in the positive/neutral totals before?

Disabled the ratings.

Out of nowhere. I had about 10 negative before (mainly from testing). We disabled the "dumb" rating so I was left with 5 negative. My postbit and membercard both showed 5 neg but on my profile page it showed that I had 500+. However in the breakdown by column it only showed 5 neg received.

I then ran the recount and my postbit and member card are now wrong as well as they say I have 7 negative, but my profile says only 5 received.

I can post some screenshots in a bit.

It doesn't explain the 500+ issue, but disabled ratings will still be included in totals (but not shown on profile breakdown)
 
It seems to have happened to everyone

He's had over 1500 negative come our of nowhere. The totals still add up to the same but it's taken a load of his positive ones and turned them negative.
 
Hmm ok, I made disagree negative again and rather than going back to -60 (from -34), it's gone to -86, adding the -26 from disagree on twice.
 
Ah I think I found the issue (or one of them). One of our admins when changing the ratings had set the "rating to use as like" to "dumb" which was then disabled.

However, I changed it back to "like" and tried to recount and got this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/sites/sxxxx.co.uk/public_html/library/Zend/Db/Statement/Mysqli.php on line 276

That would explain it, there's two different total algorithms (one for postbit, member card, member list and another for profile pages) and they consider the 'like' rating slightly differently.

For that error, just raise your php.ini memory_limit setting to something a bit higher temporarily.
 
Luke I would very much like a simplified version of this. I did PC you a little while ago.

Mainly I just want members to have labels they can assign - to look like Prefix labels and design the same way (form in admin for bg color/ font color/ bold/border/ border color) but also a small icon like a star.

So under the post it says

I am having a big issue with the rating system and Safari...I keep getting double and triple screens and all kinds of artifacts...is it not compatible with Mac/Safari? Thank you!

Also...should I have uploaded the styles folder to the root styles? I am using a custom style and wonder if that could be causing the issue...
 
Is there a way users can choose more than one icon? So they may want to choose Like and Informative, for instance...my users are asking for it...thanks!
 
I'm having an issue with inconsistent display of ratings, e.g. if I sort my members (I use the 'Member List Manager' add-on), I see that user 'x' has 0 for both Positive and Negative ratings, however when I open that user's member card, I see that they actually have 6 Positive ratings.

I've read a couple of other posts from people having issues, but most seem to be due to admins changing around the ratings. All I've done thus far is change the 'Dislike' to be Neutral.

Any thoughts? (appreciate any help!)
