Post Ratings - taking likes to the next level [Deleted]

Also I want to get the latest version but I have no proof that I paid other than the fact that I have the folder (without looking in my paypal history):

Your payment was either amicably refunded or subject to a chargeback (I cannot recall which, my Paypal history simply says 'Refunded'), but regardless I cannot help you with this issue or send you the latest version.

Oh yes, Now I remember! Ok that's correct and Thank you. I sure wish I could find out why my site is the only one that does this, must be another addon conflict or something ;-(.

Wait... so you bought, installed, chargedback? And still have it on your site?

Pony up the $$, support the developer for the work, I am positive the issue could get resolved.

No bro. The developer 'KNOWS' of a known issue. I was refunded but did not remember because I am re-visiting to 'see' if there has been anyone with the same problem "and" if it had been fixed. I'm not the type to use something and not pay for it ~ lol! I just re-installed it to 'see and get the update' but for the life of me I did not remember ever asking and getting the refund until I was reminded ;-). Still looking for the day that this works for me and THEN I'd be glad to send the monies for it again :D. There has been maybe like '4 updates' to it since I had it so I was just trying to see if my problem was fixed.

Secondly, it is NOT on my site, it's on my harddrive and I re-installed 'just to see' if the problem still existed. PLZ don't try to make me look like a crook as I posted showing my sincerity in this matter to the 'Developer'. I don't owe anyone else any explanation. Though 'public', it is clear my question was to the Developer

And YES this IS a public forum but even 'I' know that if I don't know the answer to something not to get involved. It just clutters the situation with unnecessary replies (n)

If you want to test it out, about the only thing you could do is
  1. Make an arrangement with Luke somehow
  2. purchase add-on, run upgrade, check issues.
Hard to troubleshoot something that isn't installed.

We have done that already. There was no resolution, 'thus' the refund.

Yea, 'that' I don't know because I was only given the files and no readme.txt was included. BTW I'm stealing your 'Walking Dead' Wager! Great idea, love that show and just trying to find other ideas which which to use Sportsbook for other than sports ;-)

Not to hijack his thread.... (apologies Luke)

--American Idol seems to be voted on, plus, over at Skybet, they list different TV show type bets.

Yes. I tried looking because I know we interacted on this issue Luke Foreman ;-). I have made soo many coding edits / mods that it's not worth trying to just make 'this' add-on work, because whatever edits I did are probably necessary. Again, thanks. It's a great add-on!

Good point actually, I've been meaning to add something similar to how it is done on Facepunch forums whereby the top rating for the OP of a thread is displayed next to it
Hi Luke,

I've been unable to find this feature as of yet. Is this feature included into the current release?
If not, I would love to request it.

Keep up the great work!

Just purchased...looking forward to releasing this to my site users...I think they are going to have a ball...Thanks Luke!

If you like this mod you should also consider Luke's html mod...I also have that one

Luke
I have just installed it on a test site installed locally using xampp and noticed a couple of things (note the site is a copy of a live site that already has data):
1. The user settings of "Ratings You've Received" and "Ratings You've Given" are not showing anything however there were normal Xenforo Likes both given and received prior to installing your mod. Does it not inherit the existing likes system?
2. There isn't any Ratings Bar displayed in the post user block...is this a manual edit not contained in Post #2 of this thread?

1) It does inherit the like system. You set which rating you want to be used as "Likes" so if it's uninstalled you still keep the likes. Can you post a screenshot of what you mean?

2). There's a setting in the options to turn it on/off. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's in the postbit style options, NOT in the plugin options.

Thanks RobParker

re #1
You can see in the following screen shots that I have a post that I made and received 3 Likes under the old Xenforo Likes system. I then installed this mod however the list of Ratings Received shows Nil:
2.webp 1.webp
So it seems that the mod when installing does not pick up the existing XF Likes and displays them in the user's settings of Rating Received...it is the same for the Ratings Given as well

re #2
Thanks...didn't know about the extra settings there...so #2 is now working now with the ratings bar being shown in the user postbit

Can anyone advise about #1 as I can't release this mod to my users till they can still see a history of their likes given and received

Thanks RobParker

Appears this was an oversight (basically forgot to add support for xf like system), will get this sorted asap.
