So I had a lot of activity all at once and it slowed my board to an absolute crawl. I wanted to make a post of things to be aware of if you are about to hit high traffic situations.

Thanks I learned were (but feel free to correct me if I am wrong):

1. Host jQuery locally (I thought having Google host it would actually be faster)
2. Limit the amount of people to show in members online (this is one of the big pieces that killed my board)

What are others?

Reduce the news feed items and ensure it is cached.

Also reduce the number of search results returned.
