XF 1.3 Possible to lose the numerals in a thread URL

Is it possible to not have the numerals at the end of a thread URL?

That is the most important part of the URL.
It can't be removed.

If you're talking about all threads, automatically, then no, Paul is right. It's the only thing that can uniquely identify a thread as thread titles do not have to be unique.

You may be able to do it on a per-thread basis manually using Route Filters, though.

Thanks, yes I understand a title has to be unique and it doesn't bother me that much I'd do anything too techy (for me) to lose them.

Maybe it would be good if they weren't here, and only got added if there was a duplicate title.

Then, how do you manage when a thread title needs to change?

What is it about them that bothers you anyway?
