Question in the title . Would be useful to clear out deleted posts once in awhile.
There is no function (front end or ACP) which tracks that data.
The xf_deletion_log table lists all deleted posts so you could use that to identify and delete them.
You can also filter by the message_state field in the xf_post table (deleted) and the discussion_state field in the xf_thread table (deleted).
It would be very nice to have a tool to easily display soft deleted posts and threads and to be able to quickly physically delete them.
Yes Admin need better pruning ability.
Suggest this! I would like to see this implemented! I usually forget posts, but I would like to see a list of soft deleted.
It would be helpful with this new editing history feature.
