XF 2.2 Length of time to keep removed content - option for how long to keep soft deleted posts? Restore, recover, get back.

Is content that is soft-deleted by mods, or self-deleted by users/members kept forever? I thought I had seen an option that specifies how long it's kept for. But after some searching I may have been confusing it for the editHistory option which defines how long logs are kept for. https://xenforo.com/community/threads/how-do-you-delete-history-of-edits.181447/

Enable edit history tracking and prune after:
If enabled, moderators will be able to see historical versions of messages and compare changes between them. Historical data will be pruned after the specified number of days. Use 0 to keep the history forever.

I used the keywords/phrases that I searched for in my title :)
AFAIK, soft deleted threads will exist until you hard delete them.
The log you mention may get pruned depending on the retention time defined, but that doesn't have anything to do with the actual soft deleted messages.
There are some add-ons available that should help track soft-deleted posts.
You may be able to track them using the thread batch updates process.
