Anyone tell me how to fix this? I am converting Vb 4.2 to Xenforo. I uploaded all the necessary files to the library...what else is there?

Are you sure you have uploaded all of the files correctly?

Double check they are all in the correct location and have been FTPed correctly.

That error must be when you try to install the XML? You don't need to install the XML for that importer unless you are importing "post thanks". Otherwise you just upload the files and go straight to the import area:

Admin CP -> Tools -> Import External Data

But if you are installing the XML then that error means the files were not uploaded correctly.

Ok I got Vb4 showing in the drop down menu now....

Probably you are using the wrong converter.

I could convert with vBulletin4-Importer-3.6b2.zip

Got it working! Turns out I was putting the wrong DB info in.....my bad!

had the same issue, found i misplaced the filed i uploaded.. they went to a different directory. definitely an ftp problem. Thanks to google, these forums are a great help.
