Potentially, Erik P.'s incorrect post that you need to purchase an expensive wildcard ssl cert to support your change from http://www.yourdomain.com to https://yourdomain.comWhat am i misinformed about?
See, you are misinformed.I asked what would dropping the WWW do to me in terms of search engine, logins etc... Because you need a wild card cert for the WWW. I didnt want to spend that much on a cert, [...] I wont argue this further but do this correctly you need wild card for WWW.
FYI, my SSL cert is installed but I'm not currently using it for browser traffic (because I have the same issue as you will - my ad server doesn't support https) and hence why you're getting the browser exclamation mark when coming to my site with https.I understand but why bother with SSL if you have those issues?
Anyway, I don't care enough to argue further either. Feel free to un-necessarily purchase a wildcard ssl cert when you're ready. No impact on me.
