Phrases that make no sense to me

If it was not announced anywhere, then how can the general public consider the down time 'scheduled'?

"Emergency Maintenance server: 22233"

If it is an emergency, how could it be 'Maintenance'?

Standard IT dude, like in "it'll be ready real soon now".

"Scheduled maintenance" = the database server blew up, we have no idea what happened, but no point phoning to report the issue as we are currently in panic mode.

I honestly don't understand that one. Surely if you've never loved then you wouldn't know of the pain involved with losing someone you loved. Am I right? Or just babbling?

I have my illustrator friend designing me custom error pages, and several other things for things like this .
