php cmd.php xf-addon:build-release [addon_id]

Hey guys. I'm completely new to this and I'm trying to repackage an addon. I tried to run a command similar to "php cmd.php xf-addon:build-release [addon_id]"
but it ends up not recognizing cmd.php.

root:~# php cmd.php xf-addon:build-release
Could not open input file: cmd.php

What am I doing wrong?

CLI commands need to be run from the directory where XF is installed - where cmd.php is located.
