So I can define which upgrade(s) require PhoneVerification?
Thus if I have 3 upgrades available and only want 1 of them to require PhoneVerification, the user can still progress the other 2 with or without having passed PhoneVerification?

It seems you have forgotten to include a mysql table into the installer:

Currently the upgrade area is either exposed as a dummy, or not exposed at all (definable in the ACP)

All of the Account Upgrade buttons, if the user has not been phone verified, trigger the Phone Verification dialogue
For the Account Upgrade work flow, it's currently not possible to select which button you want to apply the phone verification too

I can look into this for next version, since it is possible that admins only want to apply this when a user selects a certain upgrade

How would you expect an admin to select which upgrades should be phone verfied?

Should this be done in the ACP User> Edit User Upgrades section

  • Bug fix: js needed updating (duplicate country selectors)
  • require_once needed updating for Unix install (wasn't finding Twilio service)
  • If no black lists countries were selected, was throwing an error

Yes. When you define an Upgrade from /admin.php?user-upgrades/ there is an tickbox option at the bottom of the Edit Upgrade titled 'Can be purchased', which basically makes the Upgrade active/inactive. I think an option very similar to this titled 'Phone Verify Required?' would be ideal, to indicate whether it is required for this upgrade or not.

Scenario: I have a donation option within Upgrades, I do not want to impede donations (or incur the SMS charge) by requiring Phone Verification for this. When the user purchases an Upgrade to be a Premium Member, then I would like the Phone Verification to be applicable and occur.
 
Can this addon just be used to set members SMS alerts of posts they are watching or replies. Basically anything that is in the alerts popup. I wouldn't be using it for spam prevention, just as an alerting tool for members. We don't get much spam so that function isn't needed. Just curious if your addon can be used just as an alerting tool. Let me know thanks.

That would be quite expensive, you would have to pay for each alert!

It's only for upgrades for the purpose of anit-fraud ... so in the life time of a user, it's only used once (and that's because they are about to pay you)... so all in all, a few pence is nothing

(it can also be used for registration if you want to use it for anti spam)

Sorry, it can't be used for watched posts (I think that could end up being costly for the forum admin)

Not that I know of, but if you find one that is cheaper / better, let me know and I'll see what I can do to integrate this add-on

253 is the country code for Djibouti, there is an option in PhoneVerify to ban countries.. you can ban Djibouti +253

You can black list countries, or just use a white list of countries, see:

So if you use "site-wide" and a person is not able to phone verify, their account is not created? or is it stuck in awaiting confirmation?
 
Currently it does not get created until phone verified
(but putting the account in "awaiting confirmation" makes more sense, I'm currently not working on this add-on until completing others)
 
No it's fine. I'd rather the account not get created at all if they can't get verified.
