XF 1.4 Permissions Test vs. Analyze Permissions

I had a member come to me today saying he was getting an insufficient permissions message when trying to start a new thread in a Node but he is able to post in a sibling Node even though both Nodes inherit permissions from the same parent. When I use the Analyze Permissions tool, it indicates that he should be able to post threads.

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going on here? Thanks!

It's worth going to <url>/install/ and rebuilding the master data. This should rebuild permissions, in case a cache is out of date (only seen due to add-ons).

Otherwise, can you post in that forum? Do you have any add-ons that might apply per forum posting limits? You should look at the forum's configuration to see if any options there are preventing posting (by default, for example, you can disable all posting in a forum there, independent of permissions).
