I don't remember which forum platform I've seen this on, but I thought this is a nice feature, especially if you use customized permissions for members. Down at the bottom of the post area, there's a little box that briefly lists what permissions you have in that board:
Is there a modification for something like this? If nothing else, something like this would be good for Administrators to use a test account to validate they've got the various permissions set up correctly.

- May Not Vote in Polls
