Permission file query

Hello XenForo!

I am a newer customer with the company and I have a question. I am setting up my forum using my FTP Client. I am onto the step where I need to set the permissions. On the guide, it says I need to set it to world writeable. On my FTP, I have the option for public which has the different selections. The selections are Read, Write and Execute.

I just wanted to make sure that this is what I wanted to do and I am not setting something up wrong. I hope someone can help me out!

Are you referring to the attachments folders?

I suggest setting those two folders to 0777.

Would I set the numeric value to 0777?

When you check all the boxes you will see the number will change to 777.
