As designed Permalink to post isn't always permanent

There is a case when permalinks to posts are changed, which defeats the purpose of a permanent link.

To clarify, this is the link that I'm referring to
https://example.com/threads/something.100/page-4#post-973508

This link is always linking to page 4, but the post may not be always in that page.
When older posts are deleted, this post #973508 may be now in page 3 or page 2. In such case, the above link is no longer points to the correct page.
 
There's a trade off clearly, but we went with this approach to give a URL that will generally be more useful to someone reading it than the basic posts/123/ link (more context from the URL). There are comments/suggestions regarding changing it.

You can change it pretty simply in the template if preferred.

If there is 100 pages thread and 1 comment was deleted from page 49, so everything basically moved 1 comment, the entire thread is destroyed if hyperlinks were used to guide users to specific posts in this thread?
