XF 1.5 [Performance] Attachments vs linked images

Hi

At this moment I use linked images [ IMG ] from external files to host photos/images in posts.
Some threads have an huge amount of linked images ( 100 or more in one page) that I plan to rehost as attachments.

How much performance will I lose/win from this shift?

About the same.

I suggest you limit the number of images allowed per post, that way a page won't have hundreds of attachments per page.

Thanks for your feedback.
I've set 20 per post, but my niche is travel and my members make wonderful traveling reports and place 4 or 5 posts with 20 images.

This is something we can live with, but moving these linked images it's needed to avoid loosing theses reports.

I suggest lowering this to 10. On my forum I have it set to 5.
