XF 2.3 Paypal Payment Profile issues and Renewal/Group Problems :(

I’m running XenForo 2.3.7 and originally used the PayPal Legacy payment profile for user subscriptions. Because XenForo is now flagging that option as deprecated, I’ve switched all my User Upgrades so they now use the new PayPal payment profile.

I have two questions:

1. Handling renewals from users who originally subscribed through PayPal Legacy

I’ve updated all User Upgrades so they now only use the new PayPal payment profile.
Do I need to do anything else to ensure that renewals happen through the new system?
More specifically:

• If a user originally subscribed through PayPal Legacy with auto-renew enabled, will their renewal still be processed through the old PayPal billing agreement?
• Do I need to cancel anything in my PayPal account to prevent Legacy-based auto-renewals from continuing?

2. User group changes when someone subscribes
Our forum content is restricted based on user groups:

• Paying members should be placed in the RVOC Subscriber group
• Non-subscribers (after their trial period ends) should fall into the Lurker Group, which has limited access

How do I ensure that when a user pays for a subscription:

• They are automatically added to the RVOC Subscriber group, and
• They are removed from (or no longer affected by) the Lurker Group?

If anyone can confirm the correct handling of legacy PayPal renewals and the recommended user-group setup for subscriptions in XF 2.3.7, I’d appreciate it!

I may be wrong but my understanding was to leave the old legacy subscriptions and subscribers alone (not deleted but not enabled for new subs) and just use new PayPal for new subscriptions.
