How is it possible to make a subscription for paying members recurrent?

I mean “member x” subscribed by june 2020 and got upgraded to “premium member”,

how can I make it so he needs to pay again on june 2021 otherwise he gets dowgraded to “standard user”?

When editing your user upgrade, set length from "Permanent" to your preferred length, and optionally check "recurring payments", if you want it to automatically be renewed unless the user cancels.

Admin Control Panel > Users > User Upgrades. You'll need to configure a payment provider under ACP > Setup > Payment Providers first if you haven't done that yet.
