Hi - our forums were hacked back in late July, and while we've setup a new server that can successfully host a clean install, we have not been able to setup with all the old messages from the db. The boards were lower on our priority list but it's now moved to high priority since it's been almost two months and we've get customers emailing asking when it's coming back online.
We have a complete backup of the entire hard drive and the boards were functional at the point we detected the hack. It appears the hacker had locked us out of the boards and then our entire server (using an OS hack called FireFart...we've updated to CentOs which is immune to it).
I had contacted XenForo directly as I paid for an upgrade to the latest software but they said until the boards were running they wouldn't do the upgrade and suggested I post here.
When trying to run with the backup db we get the error:
"Table 'better_discussion.xf_data_registry' doesn't exist".
As best we can tell all the data is there and we have two different time dated backups...so if anyone has the expertise to help import and get our boards back up, happy to pay for a few hours of your time!
